Wedding outfits ask something different of your innerwear at every function. A deep-back choli cannot take straps at all, while a reception gown wants one smooth line from bust to hip and a saree blouse just needs lift. This kit covers the range: nipple covers, breast lift tape, a strapless adhesive bra and a full-body shaper, each chosen in your size, at one price.

Which piece for which function

• Mehendi and haldi, long days in the heat: nipple covers on their own, under a cotton kurta or a light lehenga
• Sangeet, if you plan to dance: the shaper, with covers underneath
• The wedding, in a backless or deep-back choli: lift tape, which holds without a band across your back
• Reception gown, or a fitted saree: the adhesive bra and the shaper together

Picking the three sizes

You choose three things, and each is measured differently.

• Nipple covers by diameter. 7.7cm is sized for an A cup and 10.2cm for a B to C. Under sheer or pale fabric the wider cover has the softer edge, so it is the safer pick when you are between the two.
• Uplift and adhesive bra share one size, S through XL, taken from your usual bra size. If you have never measured, the bra size calculator will work it out from two measurements.
• Shapewear by waist, not by dress size. S-M fits a 26 to 32 inch waist, L fits 33 to 38, and XL-XXL starts at 39.

A shaper a size too small does not shape more. It leaves a ridge at the edge, which is the thing you put it on to avoid.

If you do not need all four

Plenty of brides do not. If every outfit is a saree or a blouse with straps, covers and the shaper will do, and buying those two on their own costs less than the kit does. The kit earns its price when the functions vary enough that you also want the lift tape and the strapless bra.

Care, so it lasts the season

Wash the sticky side of the adhesive pieces with mild soap and cool water after each wear, let them air-dry face up, and put them back in their case. Hand wash the shaper cold and dry it flat. Heat is what ends the stretch, and it does so long before ordinary wear would.

2. Warm the adhesive between your palms, position, press for ten seconds.
3. Remove slowly, peeling downward; the shower is easiest.
